THE PITTSFORD FLOUR MILL
THROUGH THE YEARS
The Mill was built in 1882 by Grandin Vought. In 1921, it was purchased and expanded by Henry Perrigo. Territory also operated a flour mill in Victor. In 1938 the concrete grain elevator next to the mill was added. Perrigo sold the mill to a Dutch company in 1946.
In 1952 the Mill was sold to Theodore J. Zornow who converted it to a bean processing facility. The silo continued to be used to store wheat taken from local farmers. The bean mill and grain wholesale operation was continued by Ted and his son, Ted H. Zornow until 1997.
The Zornow family sold the property to Mike Newcomb Sr. and Al Longwell who rehabilitated the mill and silo for commercial office use which remains uts purpose today.
