Operations Update Folks! Our Road Crew has been busy working on the upper mountain all day today! We have cleared the lanes to the Summit, the sun is shining, and the road is drying out. In some areas, we experienced snow drifts between 3 and 4 feet deep! As a result, there is a high possibility that we will be open to the peak tomorrow, weather permitting.

Heads up! 🚗 The Mt. Washington Auto Road will be CLOSED next Friday, June 5th for a private event.

The Auto Road is OPEN 7 days a week starting Friday, May 22! Motorcycles, ATVs, Cars, & Trucks welcome.

Operating hours are:
- Tomorrow (Friday): 9AM – 4PM
- Saturday: Closing at 5PM
- Main Lodge: 8:30 AM–5PM daily (until we transition to a 6PM close on June 13)
- Summit and Hideaway Stores: Open 7 days a week starting May 22nd

Are you a birder? Bicknell’s Thrush is an extremely rare species with limited breeding grounds. It is the most secretive of the thrushes in North America. They usually breed in the Northeast at higher elevations, nesting above 3,000 ft. The Mt. Washington Auto Road offers a rare opportunity to view these obscure birds. Join us for an early morning 2-hour guided tour for a chance to spot this species!
