Last month from 24-25 January, the Tiger Battalion participated in the Ranger Challenge Competition at Fort Moore, GA. Our cadets represented our three universities well competing against 40 other teams representing universities from throughout the Southeastern US and Puerto Rico in a series of military skills events over the two days of competition. The competition tested our cadets' leadership skills, their physical and mental strength as well as their endurance over the two day period.

This past weekend, the Tiger Battalion commissioned our Fall 2024 graduate, 2LT Jasmine Savant.

2LT Savant graduated with her Bachelor's in Nursing from the University of Louisiana Monroe and was a accessed on to Active Duty in the Army Nurse Corps.

Last night the Tiger Battalion hosted our Branch Night for the Class of 2025. This event represents the next big step as the cadets begin their transition to 2LTs leading formations across our Army. We are very excited for our graduating cadets that received their branches for both Active Duty and the Army National Guard.

Today the cadets from Grambling State University Army ROTC participated in thr 33rd annual ball run alongside Southern University Army ROTC and Southern University Navy ROTC. This annual tradition demonstrates teamwork, esprit de corps, as well as the mental and physical toughness of our cadets.

The event covers approximately 92 miles in just under 8 and a half hours, delivering the Bayou Classic game ball from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA to the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA ahead of Saturday's big game.

Yesterday Grambling State Army ROTC cadets and cadre arrived in New Orleans in preparation for the Bayou Classic. Cadets and cadre enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with other Grambling supporters and then enjoyed the Bayou Classic Parade.

Be on the look out for us as we run the game ball alongside Southern University Army and Navy ROTC today from Baton Rouge to the Ceasers Superdome.
