☀️Meals for One Tips☀️

The FRESH frozen foods are your friend. For this dish, I have bought fresh shrimp and fresh broccoli from the frozen section. I move these foods into freezer specialized ziplock bags to prevent freezer burn and I use these foods as needed!

Tonight's meal:
• Light Shrimp Scampi- I used olive oil in place of butter
• Spaghetti Noodles
• Broccoli

☀️Cooking for One Tip☀️

It's been a while since I've posted a cooking tip. Tonight I'm having roasted chicken, grapes, baby carrots, and a side salad. That's 3 servings of fruits and vegetables in one meal!

I learned something *NEW* tonight!! I can buy exactly how many sunflower seeds that I want using the self dispensed seed area at my grocery store! That means I spent 18 CENTS on sunflower seeds that will last all week without going rancid!

I bought a precooked roasted chicken at the store that I'll eat in different dishes this week→chicken salad, chicken on a salad, chicken sandwich, etc.

I bought a package of salad that I repackage in a resealable bag. I placed a damp paper towel in the bag to keep it fresh. I'll use this throughout the week, too!

☀️Cooking for One Tip☀️

Hamburger Patty with Swiss Cheese
Steamed Vegetables

• Hamburger Meat for One: Split and freeze (in freezer safe ziplocs) the hamburger meat into specific serving sizes. To save more time you can season and shape the hamburger meat into patties and place parchment paper between or set them flat inside the freezer not touching one another.

• Steamed Veggies for One: The produce section caries fresh veggie bags(like the one pictured). I suggest to follow the steaming directions on the bag. If you plan to use them within a weeks time just store in a sealed container in the refrigerator. If you plan to change up the variety of veggies that you eat, check out your grocery stores frozen veggie section and use the vegetables as needed.

Prepare two patties at dinner time. Eat one for dinner and reheat the other for lunch the next day.
