Air Force officials have selected 8,246 staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant out of 28,358 eligible for a selection rate of 29.08 percent in the 20E6 promotion cycle.

As promised, here is an update regarding the 20E5 and 20E6 promotion timelines:

20E5:
-Estimated Release is mid-to-late September
-Airmen will begin promoting Oct 1st (Those with Sept. DOR will be retroactively applied with backdated pay)

20E6:
-Estimated Release is mid-to-late August
-Airmen will begin promoting Sept 1st (Those with Aug. DOR will be retroactively applied with backdated pay)
