Some of the region’s best mountain bikers will take on the legendary Lunch Loops trail system, racing three demanding stages across the technical desert terrain that makes Grand Junction a world-class mountain biking destination.

Saturday features pre-riding, packet pickup and live music, with racing kicking off Sunday morning and festivities continuing at Handlebar Tap House through the afternoon.

Registration is still open, so there’s time to get in on the action—or come out, cheer on the riders and help showcase Grand Junction’s incredible outdoor recreation community.

🚴 Tour of the Moon returns to Grand Junction on Saturday, September 12!

Cyclists will take on one of Colorado’s most iconic rides through the Colorado National Monument and along the Riverfront Trail. Walk-on registration is welcome for those who still want to join the ride!

Area residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes Saturday morning, as the event will impact travel through the Monument and portions of the Riverfront Trail.

The Grand Valley River Cleanup is back this Saturday! 🌊

Due to low water and drought conditions, this year’s cleanup will look a little different, with volunteers focusing on two sections of the Colorado River via ground-based cleanup crews.

Support the volunteers who are always there when our community needs them most.

Join Mesa County Search and Rescue for its 5K Run during the Fruita Fall Festival on September 26. Proceeds benefit MCSAR, a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to responding to search and rescue missions throughout Mesa County.

MCSAR is also partnering with Hike Grand Junction for a special group hike in September, where team members will share backcountry safety tips and information about the upcoming 5K.
