GJ Community Center Campaign

GJ Community Center Campaign Efforts to build a community center in Grand Junction, CO date back to the late 1970's.

The Grand Junction Community Center Campaign (GJCCC) is a campaign to build a local gathering place where everyone can come together to build social, emotional, and physical well-being. We are one of the only cities our size without an organized community center...

Efforts have been in hibernation since 2008-2009 but there remained a strong current of support that was re-ignited by the Matchett P

ark master planning community meetings, hosted by Grand Junction's Parks and Recreation Department. For all the work that was done over past decades, a strong grass roots organizing effort that could've created the political will to fund and build a center was conspicuously missing. PLACE is a group of citizens that are gathering that grass roots momentum behind a community center that reflects the vision and will of the people of Junction. Please join our movement and make a community center a reality and not just a dream in Grand Junction!
