🔥 Live Fire Training Day 🔥
Great day on the training ground under blue skies as we put in solid work on low-visibility and victim rescue scenarios. Crews operated in real fire conditions, pushing skills, communication, and trust in each other to the next level.
Each evolution gave us the chance to work as a team—navigating zero visibility, locating and removing victims, and maintaining accountability every step of the way. After every drill, we regrouped to break things down—what went well, what we can improve, and how we keep getting better together.
Training like this is what prepares us for the real thing. Proud of the teamwork, effort, and commitment from everyone involved. 💪

It's gonna be some noisy days at Station 1 this month! We are replacing the flooring and have found that our early 2000's crew did an EXCELLENT job at securing the carpeting! 🙃

This National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank four incredible members of our fire department: Chris Malucelli, Wes Morosco, Jeff Palumbo, and Jimmy Cowan.
With service ranging from over 10 years to 3-years in, each of these volunteer firefighters has shown a strong commitment to protecting and serving our community. We are thankful for the time, dedication, and effort each of them gives, day in and day out.
Thank you for all that you do — your service truly makes a difference. 🚒❤️

The Goat Trail Fire is 75% contained. There is hose around the fire and crews will be on site continuing to mop up throughout the day. A water drop from air support was expected at 8 a.m. but was cancelled due to lack of need.

All areas that received evacuation warnings earlier today have been cleared. There are no evacuation warnings in effect at this time.

Please check OSMP X and the trail closures website for specific trail information and continue to avoid the area throughout the day. As a reminder: opt into emergency notifications at bocoalert.org.
