Dear Mansfield ISD Family:

As you know, our fellow Texans on the Gulf Coast have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many, many people are displaced.

Mansfield ISD is partnering with the Salvation Army to assist those in need, and I am requesting your assistance.

If you would like to help, please donate one or more of the following items:

Cases of bottled water
Cases of Gatorade
Granola bars
New Toothbrushes
New Toothpaste
New and unopened disposable diapers
New and unopened disposable baby wipes
Please bring your donations to your or your child’s campus from now until Friday, Sept. 8.

MISD warehouse staff will be picking up all of the collected items and delivering them to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will transport the items to the Gulf Coast areas for distribution.

Thank you in advance for your donations. LET’S DO THIS!

In the 11th hour, the State Senate introduced a provision to the school funding legislation that would provide funding for a statewide voucher program, but no additional money for our local public schools. Tell lawmakers to stop playing games with Texas public schools!

I would like to thank all of my fellow candidates for Mansfield ISD School Board, place 6. We all ran clean, energetic campaigns and showed our love for the district. As you know, there is a runoff election this June between Darrell Sneed and Jessica Camacho. For me, the choice in this runoff election is clear.

Darrell Sneed has 34 years of experience working as an educator or administrator. He has an unmatched understanding of our school district and has shown a true love of our children and a passion for their education. Darrell will use his experience and energy to improve the education of our children. Darrell Sneed rises above and is the best choice in the runoff election.

I ask you to vote for Darrell Sneed for MISD School Board, Place 6 on June 10th.

Sincerely,

Commissioner Joshua Spare

I would like to congratulate Jessica Camacho and Darrell Sneed for their 1st and 2nd place finishes in today's election. They will be in a runoff against each other in June.

I am very proud of my 3rd place finish in a long, hard fought race with 9 candidates. I could not have had a better group of supporters. My extreme and sincere thanks to all of you.

You never know what the Lord has planned for you in the future. I know I made an impact on our district and each of you helped me do that. I know God has something for me coming up and I will continue to work to better my community.

Appreciatively,

Joshua Spare
