Only 2 more days!

Making a difference often means stepping outside your comfort zone and doing what you believe is right — even when it’s uncomfortable. It means being willing to stand up and try.

I don’t take that lightly. I do the work, do the research, and focus on leaving things better for the next person because I believe in the responsibility. I’d rather try than stand on the sidelines — because you never know what’s possible until you take that first step.

No matter the outcome, I hope this journey has encouraged someone else to believe they can step up too. If nothing else, I know my kids were proud and we all learned that courage and effort matter.

I’m truly grateful for the encouragement and support so many of you have shared. It has meant more to me than I can say. If you’re able, I’d really appreciate your support. THANK YOU ALL!!

Leadership is about building something meaningful and growing it forward.

It grows when we share what we know, lift others up, and create space for new ideas, new voices, and new leaders.

By investing in people—through mentoring, support, and shared opportunity—we build future leaders who will carry that vision forward for generations to come.

We don’t just strengthen today—we shape tomorrow. 💙

Giving back has always been part of my life — long before any election.

Service has shown up for me in many ways over the years, including:

• Volunteering with local shelters and nonprofit organizations
• Supporting hospitals and healthcare‑related volunteer efforts
• Participating in mentoring programs
• Coaching youth sports
• Staying involved in ongoing community initiatives

This isn’t about starting something new. It’s about continuing to serve — just on a larger scale.

Did you know there’s a voter guide where you can see Q&A from candidates all in one place?

I think this is really helpful and an easy way to understand where everyone stands—this covers all local elections, not just Harris Township.

👉 Harris Township candidates:

👉 All local races:
https://www.vote411.org/ballot

You can click “view answers” and compare multiple candidates side by side, which makes it even easier.

I’m a big believer in making information easy to find and accessible—especially when it comes to decisions that impact our community.

Hope you find it helpful 👍

Why I’m Running….
Honestly? I like building things – and what I care most about building is community.

Connection. Engagement. Partnerships. Practical solutions. Clear communication. Trust.

For me, that means bringing people together, encouraging engagement, and making sure communication is clear so everyone feels part of the process. It means helping neighbors work toward practical solutions that benefit everyone.

Most of my career has been about bringing people together and helping them engage to get things done. I believe that same approach belongs in local government. Leadership should unite and engage neighbors and help build a stronger community — not just for today, but for generations to come.

Outside of volunteering and community service, I think it’s fair for neighbors to know the kind of experience I would bring to our community.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in roles where getting things done - often with limited resources - and making the most of what we have truly matters.

For me, it comes down to a few simple things:
Partnerships. Practical solutions. Clear communication. Transparency. Trust.

Here’s what that looks like in real life:

• Bringing people together to get things done and building partnerships that last
• Managing and optimizing budgets — from small nonprofits to multimillion dollar organizations
• Being creative when resources are tight and finding practical solutions
• Working with many different perspectives and listening before acting
• Staying hands on — doing the work, not just overseeing it
• Setting clear goals and following projects through from start to finish
• Helping organizations navigate change without losing momentum
• Communicating clearly so people aren’t left guessing
• Sharing knowledge, welcoming people to step up, and helping develop future leaders

Just Sharing Where I’m Coming From
I’ve been a little quiet recently after a loss in my family. Thank you to everyone who reached out and gave us grace. It really meant a lot.

Coming back, it’s hard not to notice it’s election season. Mailboxes are full, ads are loud, and opinions are flying. It can feel like a lot, and honestly, I think we can do better.

We’re neighbors - not opponents! I’ve seen that the best results come when you bring together fresh ideas and hard earned experience, and when people actually take the time to listen to each other. That’s how we move forward, together.

For me, it starts with real conversations—listening, explaining things clearly, and staying connected even when there isn’t an election going on. Neighbors should feel connected all year long, not just during the election season.
