Welcome to Continental Divide Electric Cooperative. Headquartered in Grants, New Mexico, CDEC is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric distribution co-op providing service to about 24,002 meters throughout Cibola and parts of McKinley, Sandoval, Bernalillo and Valencia counties. CDEC does not own or control any electric generation resources and is an all-requirements purchaser of electric energy from Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association. CDEC owns about 4,000 miles of primary and secondary distribution and transmission lines and has invested $83.3 million over the years to serve its members and consumers.

There is currently an outage impacting Milan, Bluewater Village, Prewitt and areas off of highway 605 North. Our crews have been dispatched and are working on restoring power as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

*UPDATE*

As a result of a micro-burst wind event, we have 6-8 poles and a conductor down, which is leading to a lengthy restoration time. A large crew is working on this outage. Thank you for your continued patience.

There is a major outage impacting the following areas: The radio towers on Mt. Taylor, Rincon Marquez, Sandoval Camp, Ball Ranch and Four Corners. Even though our crews are working to restore power, the outage is expected to last throughout the night. We thank you for your patience as we work to restore power.

CDEC members in and around the community of Black Rock, east of Zuni, will be out of power between 9 a.m. and noon for a scheduled maintenance outage. Thank you in advance, as our crews work as diligently as safety allows us to complete our upgrades to improve service to the Black Rock area.
