URGENT!
This evening there will be a Town Hall Meeting @ the
Grants Convention Center
Tuesday, April 7, 2015 6:00 p.m.

Sponsored by: The City of Grants, Cibola County, Cibola Economic Development Foundation and the Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments.

State Senators and Representatives have been invited to attend to discuss the failure of our legislators to pass the capital outlay bill in the last legislative session, which, in addition to failing to fund other projects around the state, also failed to provide any funds to help renovate the Old Alco Building for the relocation of the Mother Whiteside Memorial Library.

02/28/2015

We apologize to anyone who drove to town in the snow to attend the book sale. Internet service is not reliable in this town so one of us was just now able to get this posted, even though the same one of us drove over in the snow to post a sign at the Alco Building.

Perhaps if we were a paid board, the one who drove over in the snow and who was just able to post this could afford to subscribe to reliable Internet service!

02/28/2015

Saturday, 2-28-15

Today's used book sale has been cancelled due to the snow and poor driving conditions. Check back here and watch the Cibola Beacon for announcements of future book sales. Be Safe!

02/10/2015

Please consider sending a brief letter to your Representative and Senator at the Round House in Santa Fe to let them know we need funding to complete the renovation of the Old Alco Building in order to relocate the Mother Whiteside Memorial Library into a larger and more modern facility.

Take a look at the New Mexico Legislative page at: http://www.nmlegis.gov/lcs/default.aspx

Names, addresses and emails of our local representatives and senators are listed below:

Representative Eliseo Alcon Box 2134 Milan, NM 87021

Have you ever thought about attending an advisory board meeting of a City department to see how regular citizens can get involved making our hometown better? Join us for the next board meeting at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, September 24 at the Mother Whiteside Memorial Library, 525 West High Street in Grants, New Mexico.

08/17/2014

We'll be adding a little more pizazz with banner photos, etc. soon, so stop by often. We'll also be checking to see if we can get meeting minutes and other documents posted on the City of Grants website just in case local residents are interested in keeping up with the happenings.

If we can get a space on the city website we'll post the link here. On this space we'll post announcements and fun stuff! Help us spread the word!
