Welcome to our August Edition of our Member Spotlight featuring; Sheena Knoespel!! We are excited to share 10 Things You Don't Know About Me

Thank you for being an awesome member of Service League of Green Bay!!

1) Name, Occupation & Employer

Sheena Knoespel, District Area Manager for Champions

2) Why are you part of Service League of Green Bay and how many years have you been involved?

I have always volunteered and my friend Ashley told me about this small but mighty group that do phenomenal work, I knew I had to join! I've been a part of the organization for 6 years as Fundraising Chair, Vice President, President and Immediate Past President. I being able to help the community and see the impact locally.

3) What is your dream vacation?

I have a few:

Anything tropical Bora Bora, Tahiti etc.
Australia & New Zealand
Ireland
Alaska (The awesome cruise)

4) What is the most adventurous or unique thing about you?

Hmm, I jumped on a plane to Spain and surrounding countries to visit my sister. I made the decision in a few days.

5) Do you have a significant other, children, pets or all of the above?

My husband Kyle and I have been married for 6.5years together over 10. We have 3 little girls, Shaelyn (5), Kiana (3), and Kinsley (10 months). We also have a little Yorkie, Snickers.

6) What are your hobbies or something most people don't know about you?

My family and I love to be outdoors. We do lots of boating, camping, swimming, hiking. We also like to play tons of games. Currently we have been playing our favorite card game: Hand and Foot! I love to travel whether it's with my family, my husband and I, or a girls trip!

I LOVE music! I've been to over 200 concerts (some small, some large). One of my favorite locations of a concert was at the Red Rocks in Colorado.

7) What is your favorite childhood memory or family tradition?

My favorite tradition/memories involve the Christmas season/holiday. My family and I play reindeer games every year (it gets a little competitive) and we have lots of laughs! Before bed (when I was a little girl and now with my girls) we put out milk, cookies, and sugar for Santa and his reindeer and read Twas the Night Before Christmas. My mom read it to me every year as a young child and it just makes me smile! In the morning before we open presents we have homemade cinnamon rolls! Yummy!

I personally love taking it all in: the atmosphere, the decorations, and just soaking up that quality time. Now as my girls get older I think it's so great to see how excited they are for all the things I love too!

8) What is on your Bucket List?

To travel more! I would love to visit all of the National Parks in the US. Also, to finish my Master's Degree (so close)!

9) What is the best concert, sporting event, or play that you've ever attended?

There are 4 top concerts but my absolute favorite was a smaller venue up in Escanaba, MI to see Chris Young. We went with some friends and I was surprised with Meet & Greets. I kept saying...wow what a cool night! How awesome. Little did I know that my boyfriend was planning on proposing. The song "Who am I with you" which wasn't out as a single yet, came on and Kyle grabbed my hand and led me down in front of where Chris Young was playing . He got down on one knee. I said YES! Chris stopped playing the song, congratulated us, told us to dance and then played the rest of the song specifically for us. It was a surreal moment. Kyle definitely spoke to my love of music that day.

10) What is the last show you binged watched or the last book you read?

I've been binging a few shows here and there as I don't have time to watch much. Lately I've been watching Good Girls and Virgin River. Just waiting for the new season of Yellowstone and Sweet Magnolia as well.

Join us next month for our Member Spotlight!

Thank you for being an integral part of Service League of Green Bay Sheena!!
