The Nicolet Federated Library System (NFLS) is a state-funded organization assisting 42 member public libraries in providing better services to the people of northeastern Wisconsin since 1976.
NFLS is one of 16 public library systems in the state of Wisconsin and is organized under the WI Dept. of Public Instruction. Each system is governed by an independent board of trustees and funded by state aids to carry out the service requirements set forth in Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
NFLS' public libraries span eight Northeast Wisconsin counties: Brown, Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto and Shawano.
NFLS' Mission Statement: NFLS provides member libraries cost-effective and efficient access to resources, support, and expertise, resulting in vibrant community resources that better serve their patrons.
NFLS' Vision Statement: Nicolet will be a visionary, adaptable, and member-focused organization that facilitates and encourages networking, partnerships and delivering state-of-the-art services to enhance the potential of member libraries.
