Self care and you!
In the past couple of months, the word self-care has popped up in many places. There are different definitions to self-care. What it all comes down is taking a proactive role in putting yourself as a priority, being mindful of your personal needs, so you can better support those around you. When you can take care of yourself, this results in less stress and you can then better meet the needs of others.
There are many forms of self-care. Examples include, but not limited to, taking a couple of minutes to pause and reset; perhaps practice meditation and breath work; etc.
Over the next few weeks, we will focus on self-care through the concept of the 6- dimensions of wellness. Stay tuned and check back weekly to learn what each dimension is about.
