Brown County Central Library in Green Bay in need of $21 million renovations, repairs | Green Bay Pr

Too bad, the Brown County main Library is just across the street from Port Plaza Mall and they just realized now that they need $21 MILLION bucks in renovation and repairs! They could have had the mall for less than a million and had lots left over for new book shelves. Would have been perfect to retrofit as a library and use the extra space for future development.

Brown County has taken a step toward borrowing $10.3 million to patch together its decaying central library, but library officials fear the amount may be too little to solve the problems, and county lawmakers say it might be too much for taxpayers to bear.

I'd be really interested if anyone had pictures of the "Battle of the Bands" that almost caused a riot. I forget which bands played--I think Camaron's band?

Anyone have old photos of Port Plaza Mall?

Been in a discussion over whether or not there was a cafe in JCPenney. I don't remember one. Does anyone have a picture or menu or anything?
Looking for some old photos of the Gold Mine. I worked there and would love to have a few pictures of it!
I am trying to recall a store that used to be in the mall, they carried all kinds of things from around the world & I think "WORLD" was in the name too, does anybody remember that store or the name of it?
Don't you just wish this mall was featured in a movie or TV show, just like the Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth, Georgia (as the fictional Starcourt Mall in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the year 1985 on an episode of the Netflix series, "Stranger Things") was? Oh, what could've been. If I were a famous movie director back in the years between 2007 and 2009 (pending permission from the city), I would've brought this mall back to life for filming a few scenes in one of my movies with new faux storefronts and a large scale renovation, perhaps a new fictional name, like "Port Plaza Marketplace" for the mall, as it would be featured in my film, if the film called for scenes at a shopping mall in 1980s Green Bay, Wisconsin.
