I want to thank all of you who have helped and supported me through this campaign. I knew from the beginning that running against a 40 year incumbent would be far from easy. Though we did not get the results we were working for, all is not lost. I was able to do something I love to do, that is share my passion and vision for our community with our community. I was able to let residents know there are people who care and are willing to step up to make sure their voices are heard. I am also proud to say our campaign has inspired some who have never voted and have never understood the importance of local government to vote for the first time. That alone was worth the effort and work involved in running for office. I have gained many new relationships from this experience. Some of my friends who have never previously met were introduced for the first time, causing new friendships to form. So again I want to thank you. This truly has been a fruitful experience. If given the opportunity, I look forward to running again in 2018.
Today is the day! If you need help finding your polling location or you need a ride to the polls I will be more than happy to assist. Thank you for voting! http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/04/04/things-know-when-polls-open-tuesday-morning/82630162/
Voter ID rules have changed. Here's what you need to bring with you to vote.
Yard signs are in!! Send me a message with your address if you are willing to put one in your yard. Thank you for your support!
Wow, again no response from Guy Zima. I am disappointed with Guy's lack of engagement with his district. Part of the responsibility of a city alderperson and county supervisor is to help keep your constituents aware of what is going on in our local government. If I am wrong, then I want to go above and beyond what is required. Resident engagement is important to the effectiveness of local government.
Thank you American Federation of County, State, and Municipal Employees(AFSCME) for your endorsement. The service you provide is vital to the success of our County!
AFSCME Wisconsin Council 32 is the statewide council of union members representing thousands of state, county, municipal and private employees across WI.
Thank you, Green Bay Press Gazette, for keeping the public informed. According to Guy, he doesn't believe many of his constituents are heavy Internet users. I believe a representative's constituents are not just the people who vote for you. A representative's constituent is anyone living within the representative's district. It is not just one group or one person who has a voice in what direction District 8 and Brown County head in. You all do. As, first and for most, a resident of our district I recognize the need for a representative who will foster growth, build bridges, and value the thoughts and concerns of it's residents. We also need someone with vision to help inspire and grow Brown County to a future that will bare fruit for the next generations. 40 years is quite the record, but being in politics shouldn't be about making records. Being in politics should be about serving you, doing everything possible to ensure Brown County is meeting your needs, not just the needs of those who vote for a particular candidate. It is my mission to provide you with representation you will not be embarrassed or ashamed of, but confident in. I leave you with one question when at the poles: How has our district changed from 40 years ago to where it is today?

Guy Zima, Brown County's longest-serving supervisor, is being challenged by Fort Howard Neighborhood Association President William Peters
Hello Friends and Neighbors,
Our campaign is moving full speed ahead! We are always looking for more volunteers to help hand out literature, yard signs, and make phone calls. Please send me a message if you would be able to donate any of your time!
Thank you,
Will
Hello Friends,
Wow, what a primary! I am glad so many of you made it out to the polls to cast your vote.
I have been keeping busy by meeting with organizations and talking to neighbors about my campaign and what issues concern them. To effectively reach all of my neighbors I need your help. Please send me a personal message if I can count on your support. Wether you show your support by knocking doors with me, passing out literature, or making a financial contribution; in supporting my campaign you are investing in the continued growth of our County. Together we can give the residents of District 8 a representative who has integrity, passion, and a concern for the overall quality of life of District 8 and Brown County.
Moving forward,
William Peters
Thank you Marquette Park Neighborhood Association for inviting me to speak at your meeting! A big concern for the residents that attended is the Brown County Library. The Brown County Library is vital to our community on many levels. I do not support budget cuts to our library system.
Today I had the pleasure of visiting with the residents of Fort Howard Apartments. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to what issues concern those living there. I also enjoyed hearing their visions for our district. I am lucky to live in a district with such conscientious and proud residents.
Thank you Olde Norwood for inviting me to your neighborhood association meeting. It was a pleasure meeting all of you!
Not registered to vote? Head to any Brown County Library and there will be Registration Deputies available to get you registered. Your vote counts!

I want to make sure Brown County continues to be a place that welcomes and fosters entrepreneurship. There is a feasibility study that has been put out which looks at creating a Brown County Research Park in Green Bay near the UWGB Campus. I will include a link to that study in the comment section of this post. The article below supports the importance and need for the Research Park.
Companies less than a year old accounted for all of Wisconsin’s net new job creation in 2012, according to a new study conducted by two University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers.
One of the keys to a vibrant and healthy community is making sure it's residents can safely walk, bike, and drive to where they need to go. I know there is more we can do for Brown County and Green Bay to make commuting more safe and effective for everyone. I encourage you to contact your local officials and share your suggestions and experiences on how to make Brown County more bike and pedestrian friendly. If for some reason you don't feel comfortable contacting your elected official, I will be more than happy to pass along your message.
I recently spoke with a board member of Green Bay's 42nd neighborhood association, Western Corridor. I can't express to you how proud I am to live in a city with such active neighborhoods! Green Bay stands out in this respect. We have even hosted officials from other cities in Wisconsin who want to learn from the example you are setting. It is truly the residents that make Green Bay and Brown County a great place to live, work, and play. Unlike some County Supervisors, I value the work you are doing to make our neighborhoods a safe and fun environment to live in. Neighborhood Associations are one of our best assets.
Wow! Heads up Green Bay, there will be a lot of names on the ballet for the primary in February. Your vote matters!
