🇺🇸 Labor Day Weekend Safety Reminder

Labor Day is a chance to slow down, spend time with family and friends, fire up the grill, and enjoy the last stretch of summer.

But with the heat sticking around, don’t let a long weekend turn into an emergency.

☀️ Beat the heat: Drink plenty of water, take breaks, and check on kids, older adults, and anyone working or spending time outside.

🔥 Grill safely: Keep grills away from buildings, never leave them unattended, and make sure coals are completely cool before disposing of them.

🚗 Travel smart: Buckle up, slow down, and make sure everyone gets home safely.

🏊 Around the water: Keep a close eye on children and never assume someone else is watching.

And if you’re working this weekend, thank you. From first responders and healthcare workers to farmers, utility crews, service workers, and everyone keeping our communities moving, we appreciate you.

We are excited to share the election results as they come in this evening. Here you go! THANK YOU to the voters of Sullivan County for coming out and supporting us big. Stay tuned for next steps!

This district will pass based on the entirety of the votes so we will wait for results from the Browning Rural Fire area in Linn County. We hope to have some final answers and clarity from Linn County soon.

Did you know…
If the fire district passes, you will no longer owe dues to your local fire department. For a majority of property owners, you will owe less than the current fire dues. Plus, this will ensure that all property owners contribute to our fire department, even if they live elsewhere.
