🌟 Become a Junior Council Person for Southwest Greensburg Borough 🌟

Are you a high school or college student living in Southwest Greensburg Borough who wants to make a difference in your community?

The Southwest Greensburg Borough Junior Council Person (JCP) Program gives students the opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience in local government while helping shape the future of our borough.

As a Junior Council Person, you will gain valuable leadership experience while developing skills in:
✔️ Leadership
✔️ Teamwork
✔️ Public Speaking
✔️ Problem Solving
✔️ Budgeting
✔️ Community Engagement

You’ll have the opportunity to discuss real issues impacting the community and help lead projects that create positive change right here in Southwest Greensburg!

📌 Who Can Apply?
• High school or college students residing in Southwest Greensburg Borough
• 1–2 year term with optional summer participation

📌 What You’ll Do
• Attend monthly Borough Council meetings and workshops
• Lead 1–2 community improvement projects
• Attend community and borough events
• Shadow borough officials and tour municipal departments

Music in the Park is not far away. Here is one donation toward the fun evening. More to come. Set Saturday June 6th aside so you can join us at the Brandon St Parklet.

🚛 Public Works will begin picking up grass clippings on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Please place grass clippings curbside in biodegradable bags or containers for collection.

The Tax Office will be closed on Monday, May 4th and will be open on Tuesday, May 5th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

County/Borough discount real estate tax payments were due by April 30th and will no longer be accepted. The face amount payment deadline is June 30th.
