Show your support for keeping music in our elementary school!
Here is some more information about how to help from our Powell Valley music teacher Mr. Kirkelie:
Please come to the budget meeting tonight at 7PM at Clear Creek Middle School to show your support for keeping licensed elementary music teachers in our schools. The other elementary music teachers and I are asking the district to cut elementary music to half time instead of getting rid of elementary music teachers entirely. While this proposal is not ideal, it will make it possible for the district to reinstate elementary music to full time in the future. This proposal will not save me, personally, from losing my job as I am the least senior elementary music teacher to the district. However, I cannot accept the idea that I will be the last elementary music teacher your kids have.
