BREAKING: MAIL-BALLOT BOMBSHELL! US Postal Service whistleblower reveals Trump is building a secret system to keep mail in ballots AWAY from MILLIONS voters.
The unprecedented new system will require the USPS to "verify" voters before the Post Office will deliver their ballots, and the whistleblower is warning that Trump's system is so deeply flawed that MILLIONS of American voters may not get their ballots!
This is much bigger than a glitchy new computer system.
The Trump administration is working to insert an entirely new federal checkpoint between voters and the mail ballots their states have already determined they are entitled to receive.
Under Trump's new system, state election officials would have to upload the names and addresses of mail voters into a new Postal Service portal.
Their ballot envelopes would carry special barcodes, and USPS would check samples against that federal database before accepting huge batches of ballots for delivery.
If they don't pass the check, the Post Office can refuse to mail them.
Now a USPS whistleblower is sounding the alarm about what has been happening behind the scenes.
The whistleblower says the Postal Service has been rushing to build the system in a process that has been “secretive, rushed, chaotic, and fundamentally flawed,” warning that it could produce a “catastrophic failure” in this year's midterms.
What's really terrifying is that USPS has adopted a “zero-percent failure policy,” meaning that if just ONE sampled barcode fails to scan or match the federal database, the ENTIRE shipment could be rejected.
Translation: One bad barcode in a batch of 10,000 ballots could prevent the other 9,999 from being mailed until the problem is fixed. Some shipments could be even larger.
“Potentially millions of American voters may not receive their mail-in ballot this election cycle in a timely manner, or at all,” the whistleblower warned.
The timing could hardly be worse. The midterms are just two months away, with the first states preparing to send ballots to voters.
Trump falsely attacks mail voting as “cheating” and “corrupt,” despite repeatedly voting by mail himself.
A federal judge has blocked USPS from imposing the new requirements while a legal battle continues. But the administration is fighting to put them into effect, and development of the portal itself is continuing for voluntary use.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, whose office released the whistleblower disclosure Tuesday, put the accusation bluntly:
“The Postal Service has designed a system to disenfranchise millions of Americans.”
And the whistleblower’s warning goes beyond simple incompetence. The implication is that the system may be so unforgiving because failure is the POINT.
Trump has spent years insisting that mail voting is corrupt and should be eliminated. Now his administration wants the Postal Service to subject millions of mail ballots to a brand-new federal verification process in which a single glitch can stop thousands of perfectly good ballots from being mailed.
Blumenthal calls it “designed malfunction.”
This is a new and dangerous front in Trump’s assault on mail voting, and it must be stopped before millions of Americans risk losing their ability to cast a ballot.
