Visit the Northwoods Arts Council's Art & Book Festival happening today from 9-3 today. If you are trying to drive into the Dog Park, Lucette's Links Disc Golf, or the Community Garden, drive down Whipple Ave. and enter from the side entrance today.
You are welcome to park and walk through the festival and check out the many wonderful artists and authors, enjoy some food and drink. The festival is dog friendly.

PROPOSED VACATION OF PORTIONS OF PUBLIC ROADWAYS

CITY OF HACKENSACK, MN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hackensack, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on the proposed vacation of certain portions of public roadways located within the City of Hackensack and legally described in Exhibit A to the resolution initiating the vacation proceedings.
The Proposed Vacated Area is associated with Parcel ID Nos. 89-019-1219, 89-019-1220, 89-019-1216, and 89-019-1217.
The public hearing will be held as follows:

Date: August 10, 2026
Time: 5:30 pm
Location: Hackensack Community Center, 310 Lake Ave E, Hackensack, MN

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment and consider whether the identified portions of public roadways remain necessary for public use and whether vacation of all or any portion of the Proposed Vacated Area is in the public interest.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing or may submit written comments to the City prior to the hearing.
The City Council may, following the public hearing, consider adoption of a resolution vacating all or a portion of the Proposed Vacated Area. Any vacation may be subject to the reservation of easements and rights in favor of the City for the construction, operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement, and improvement of existing and future public utilities and related infrastructure.
A copy of the resolution initiating the vacation proceedings and the legal description of the Proposed Vacated Area are available for inspection at Hackensack City Hall during regular business hours.

Notice is hereby given that the Hackensack City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hackensack Community Center, located at 310 Lake Avenue East, Hackensack, Minnesota.
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide updates on the City of Hackensack’s Streetscapes Improvements Project and to receive public input regarding Small Cities Development Program funding for the project.
All City residents and other interested persons in attendance will be provided an opportunity to be heard and offer comments regarding the project and the proposed use of Small Cities Development Program funds.
