Quiet inside drill this week. In volunteer service there is not always an officer in the officer's seat. Tonight younger members were given tabletop scenarios responding first in for various emergencies. Drill was also a good refresher for the old members as well.

Sounds fun

The Halfmoon Fire Department is taking a trip to New York City for the Mets-Yankees Game on September 11, 2026.

We want to remember the fallen and those affected by doing something memorable for all.
We invite you to share this opportunity with family and friends to help include those who would like to join us in commemorating the day.

Tickets cost $225 and include bus fare and a game ticket in section 205.

Tonight we held a multi agency simulated boat collision on the mohawk river with multiple patients and an MCI event declared. Together we hosted the coordinated response of 7 Fire Rescue boats 6 All terrain vehicles extricating victims from the waters of the Mohawk River and the islands that surround it. West Crescent Fire District W. K. Mansfield Hose Company along with mutual aid departments including F.B. Peck Hose Company, Waterford Fire Department , Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District No. 1 , Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company Clifton Park Volunteer Fire Department , Boght Community Fire District , Niskayuna Fire District 2, Burnt Hills Fire Department , Clifton Park & Halfmoon EMS , Town of Halfmoon Emergency services, Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management .

Friday evening West Crescent Fire W. K. Mansfield Hose Company received a dispatch to a structure fire on Dover place in the town of halfmoon. First alarm assignment included West Crescent Fire Clifton Park Volunteer Fire Department Boght Community Fire District for the fast. Reports from PD and neighbors arriving on scene suggested possible occupants still inside the home with heavy fire throughout the house. A second alarm request was immediately requested from responders to the station. The second alarm request brought the Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District No. 1 Vischer Ferry Volunteer Hillcrest Fire Department Mechanicville Fire Department Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department for their Rehab unit and to provide stand-by coverage for the northern part of the town.The Boght fire department upon arrival was immediately put to work for fire suppression. Mechanicville took over for the fast response. Responders immediately deployed several lines to put the fire into control while protecting homes within immediate danger of exposure catching fire. Waterford Fire Department was moved to the West Crescent station for a cover assignment. Units cleared at 3:30 in the AM after turning over the scene to the Town of Halfmoon. Thank you to Clifton Park & Halfmoon EMS for providing assistance to the rehab portion of the alarm.
