R.I.P. sweet girl

Dear Hardin Middle School Families,

We are heartbroken to inform you that a sixth grade student at our school has passed away. Out of respect for the family, we are not sharing additional details at this time.

We have activated our crisis response team, and counselors are available to support students and staff. We encourage you to talk with your child about this news.

If your child is in need of support, please don’t hesitate to contact our counseling team at 665-6302. Claire will be able to direct your call.

We are a strong community, and together we will support one another during this difficult time.

The back seat of my patrol car is filled with stuffed animals donated by amazing citizens and my own kiddo! I'm getting even more tomorrow 😲 and I will be bringing these to Hardin for the school counselors to give to kids who need a soft hug from a stuffie!

I will also give some out to the other officers to have on hand when on scene with kids in need of comfort during traumatic situations. ❤️

(I went through the stuffed animals and checked for cleanliness and any rips/holes)

EFFECTIVE TONIGHT (THURSDAY, APRIL 9TH AT 11:59 PM)

HPD Dispatch, which has been contracted to 911iNet in Alabama will no longer be providing dispatch services to HPD.

An agreement has been made, and all dispatch services will be handled again by BHC Dispatch. The phone number 406-665-7900 will continue to work for the next couple of months, but will be forwarded to BHC Dispatch (406-665-9780). If you have an emergency, please dial 911. If you don't have an emergency, please dial 665-9780 and an HPD officer will be dispatched within the City Limits.

We thank Javier and his team at 911iNet for providing dispatch services to our community and HPD during our time of need over the past few years! We look forward to a healthy relationship with BHC Dispatch.

We’re excited to bring some Easter magic to the littlest members of our community! On the evening before Easter Sunday, we’d love to come by and hide eggs in your yard for your kids to find — completely FREE for families within the city limits of Hardin.

What a fun event! Thank you everyone who participated!! Together we raised $258 for the Hardin High School senior class!!

I had so much fun with everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed tossing pies but remember, if you do this any other time, it's a crime! Haha
