This is unacceptable!

Our service members are going hungry and are suicidal due to the poor management of the war in Iran, a war that never should have started. We've got more than 5,000 American Sailors and Marines on the USS Abraham Lincoln, alone, who were supposed to go home in May, being held hostage by a monster who can't admit defeat, and also can't admit he got played by Netanyahu. The service members on the USS Abraham Lincoln have been at sea longer than any other modern time, without enough food, without mail from their loved ones, and in unsanitary conditions. These facts have come to us through loved ones of the service members, and Pete Hegseth says it's fake news. This is sickening. This man irresponsibly spent all of our resources as if money and bombs grow on trees and is subjecting our service members to destitution, and can't even acknowledge the truth and apologize to them for it.

I pray for our service members every day, and I know that the greatest relief we can give them will be ending this senseless war and bringing them home to their families. I pray they know that many of their fellow Americans do care and do value their sacrifices.

I chatted with Rob Sand for Iowa after his Keosauqua town hall on Monday. We discussed a major point: While Rob pledged to veto damaging bills, the vetoes are meaningless if a united Republican caucus has a supermajority to override them.
