Twenty years ago, I was captivated by its charm, and it’s here that I’ve had the privilege of raising my children. Our community is on the verge of exciting growth, and now is the moment for us to step up, take charge, and shape the future. Together, we have the power to guide this growth in a way that strengthens our city, while preserving the Heart of the Heartland that makes Harrah truly special.

Welcome home, Officer Hopkins and Officer Kight!

Both of these guys just got back after a full year deployed to the Middle East together in the same unit. Also welcoming back Firefighter Rhoades from Harrah Fire, who deployed right alongside them.

A year away from family, friends, and home is no small thing. We’re grateful for their service and glad to have all three of them back safe. Welcome home — Harrah is proud of you.

KFOR Channel 4's Galen Culver came to the Harrah Historical Society for a story on our Depot and included our museum. Coordinated through our train and depot expert Dean Schirf. The "Is this a great State or what" segment will be shown on Channel 4 Monday August 24 at 5 PM. Shown are Dean as he is being interviewed by Galen. Galen Culver is a reporter/photographer for Oklahoma’s News 4 who produces, shoots, writes, and edits a feature segment called, “Is This a Great State or What?” He just celebrated his 35th anniversary as the originator of that series.

🚨🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT — OKLAHOMA COUNTY 🔥🚨

The Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners has issued a 14-day burn ban for Oklahoma County, effective immediately.

With the current hot, dry, and windy conditions, the potential for a small fire to quickly become a large wildfire is extremely high. We have already seen how rapidly fires can spread under these conditions, and it only takes one spark to put homes, property, and lives at risk.

🚫 Please do NOT conduct any outdoor burning while the burn ban is in effect.

That includes:🔥 Brush and debris burning🔥 Trash burning🔥 Burn piles🔥 Campfires/bonfires where prohibited🔥 Any other open burning that is restricted under the burn ban

We know nobody wants to hear “burn ban” during the summer, but we’d much rather prevent a wildfire than have to respond to one that could have been avoided.

Please help us protect our community, our firefighters, and your neighbors.

This is for you ward 1!!! The city is focused on getting roads repaired as many places as we can as fast as we can!! Shop local to increase tax dollars to pay for it and notify the city if you see a street in need!
