Jennifer Harrah City Council

I would like to provide an update on the issue with the traffic signal at the intersection of 29th Street and Harrah Road. The detector system was malfunctioning after the recent road repairs and loop system replacement. The detector system has now been repaired. Thank you to our Public Works department and our partners at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in working together to resolve these issues. I apologize for any inconvenience during this time period. I would like to reiterate that if you see any issues around the City, please reach out to City Hall or use the Contact Us form at https://cityofharrah.com/contact-us/

August 6, 2026 the council voted unanimously to put the proposition on the upcoming ballot. Right now we have elections back to back and then none for 3yrs, instead of alternating every other year. We vote for Mayor, ward 1 & 3 and then the following year ward 2 & 4 go up for vote. This occurred when the city voted to change to 4 year terms. This proposition is an attempt to correct that so we go back to every other year.

Welcome back soldiers! Happy you are back home!

Welcome home, Officer Hopkins and Officer Kight!

Both of these guys just got back after a full year deployed to the Middle East together in the same unit. Also welcoming back Firefighter Rhoades from Harrah Fire, who deployed right alongside them.

A year away from family, friends, and home is no small thing. We’re grateful for their service and glad to have all three of them back safe. Welcome home — Harrah is proud of you.
