Today, a jury convicted Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. The verdict was necessary and is long overdue, but the fact remains that there is still much social justice work to be done.

"Eviction has emerged as a national crisis in the face of rising housing costs, stagnant wages, and minimal protections for tenants. An estimated 2.3 million evictions are filed each year — at a rate of four evictions every minute. Importantly, eviction disproportionately burdens tenants of color and, in particular, Black women." #PHRC #FairHousingAct #FairHousingForAll #fairhousingfriday

We join the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs in celebrating the lives of all Transgender Pennsylvanians and will continue our work to ensure that all can live, work and learn free from discrimination. #transgenderawareness

November 13-19 is Transgender Awareness Week.
While strides are being made towards equality and justice for transgender and gender non-conforming people, transphobia continues to be a crisis plaguing our community.

According to the Human Rights Campaign, at least 45 trans or gender non-conforming people have lost their lives to senseless acts of violence in 2021. Unfortunately, this number may not represent all of our siblings, as many cases go unreported or victims are misgendered.

We celebrate the lives of all Transgender Pennsylvanians and will continue to fight for justice and equality.

PHRC supports the Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley "No Home for Hate" campaign. "We are outraged by the news that white supremacists are emboldened to the point of distributing flyers in the mailboxes of private citizens, spewing racist and discriminatory messages," Chad Dion Lassiter, MSW, executive director of the PHRC, said. "This insensitive and brazen activity is tangible evidence of the deeper-rooted problem of hate and bigotry that needs to be addressed. We are proud of and stand with the leaders of Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley who have come forward to face this problem head on, and we are here to support their efforts."

🙏The Missing Needs Your Help🎗️ I have Multiple Lawyers and Attorneys as friends, and Multiple Politicians as Friends as well as Judges and Judge candidates. This Message is for you all. 🚩 Multiple Missing Persons Advocates and I have been discussing something last night, We are trying to get a Law, (Bill) past into Law to make changes for Missing Persons. We all believe that the Law has to change on how cases are being investigated. Why should Missing Persons have to suffer because some Law Enforcement does not have the proper resources for the cases, Etc. 🚩 This was actually other Advocates idea and 🙏they suggested Making the Law into my Missing Daughter's name Kaylene Oehling🙏. Someone please help us. My opinion this could be a Great campaign for some of you for Election. I have enough Friends on here Running for something, please help us Help the Missing.🙏🎗️ The Advocates I associate with are from across the country and we feel as though it should be a Federal Law on how Missing Persons cases are treated and investigated. 💔Please Help us Help the Missing💔 🛑If you are willing to help us please Private Message me, Thank you for your Support 🛑
What ever you do don't go to these people they don't do their jobs when you file a complaint. We call governor and attorney general Shapiro transfer us to these people to help for how we was discriminated they just got hold of us recently saying it's not their jurisdiction so don't go by these people they will not help and apparently they don't listen to the governor don't care and they hang up on you if you're discriminated or not...... They will string you along making you feel more horrible horrible in life cuz you went through something you don't deserve what was the point of the governor and attorney general connecting us to these people if they're not going to help obviously governor and attorney general saw something once it get done I got nowhere because these people don't do their jobs and they don't apparently follow the law all they worry about is money more likely and not just coming out and saying we can't help when you make the first complaint..... What a joke what a f****** joke I feel sorry for these people that has a pathetic job that don't even do it yet on their sites and that it talks about discrimination and they won't do nothing about it pure laziness they shame me so I'm going to shame them for having a pathetic laziness of a life that don't know how to do their jobs and don't want to listen to the governor or Attorney general when they connected us to these people....... The news will be reported cuz we are getting a news involved armstrong county, and human relations will be put out there I want people out there to know how pathetic Pennsylvania and those in pennsylvania is
This past Friday our Woodland Hills Football Team played at Peters Twp in a WPIAL Playoff Game. In the year 2020 sad we still have to experience racism. Their band dressed up with blackface outfits. A shame their band director, Milt Barney, and athletic director, Brian Geyer, permitted this.
