The Historical Society of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania launched a website. Formed in 2021, its mission is to preserve, educate and promote the judicial history of the appellate courts in Pa., with an emphasis on the Superior Court.

“The PBA commends the historical society’s creation of the website, shortly after the Superior Court marked its 125th year,” said PBA President Kathleen D. Wilkinson. “PBA members will immediately note that many of the articles included on the site were originally written by judges for the PBA Quarterly and The Pennsylvania Lawyer magazine. That speaks well of the court’s historical outreach to our lawyer members.”

As COVID-19 cases increase, the Superior Court of Pa. is requiring all persons to wear masks in any court facility. The court has also adopted a policy that in-person arguments are at the discretion of the Argument Court Panel.

“On behalf of our lawyer members, I extend a message of thanks to President Judge Panella for keeping health and safety at the forefront in the Superior Court’s operations,” said PBA President Kathleen D. Wilkinson . “The legal community is grateful that the well-being of those appearing before the court have been carefully considered in these newly-released protocols.”
