Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Crimestoppers is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting crime in our local community. All tipsters remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

What is Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers? It is a volunteer organization of local business and community members that are dedicated to the reduction of crime, prompt solution of crimes and to rewarding individuals who provide information that leads to the arrest of criminals. Simply put, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is a group of concerned citizens who gather funds to reward individuals who provide information anonymously to assist law enforcement agencies with unsolved crime. How does Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers work? Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers utilizes a multimedia approach for solving crime. This approach is designed to gather information concerning unsolved crimes through the cooperation of local media. Each week, details concerning a fugitive or unsolved crime are publicized on local television, newspaper, radio and on the web. This is known as the “Crime of the Week” and may result in a Cash Reward to the individual who supplies the information needed to solve the crime. What type of organization is Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers? Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation which was founded in 1986 through the efforts of Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, Pennsylvania State Police and citizens of the state. Why is Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers different? The two main reasons individuals do not give information are: They are afraid of retaliation They don’t want to get involved. Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers works around these problems by providing a toll-free number which allows callers to remain completely anonymous, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers also adds the incentive of a cash reward whenever the information given leads to an arrest. Telephone Hotline After the media provides the details of the “Crime of the Week”, they also provide a toll-free telephone number for anyone with information to call. When an individual has information concerning the featured crime or other unsolved crimes, they simply have to pick up the phone and call the PA Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-4PA-TIPS. The caller is assigned a special code number with no names given. Instructions and a phone number are given to the tipster to contact at a later date. The tipster will be advised if the information they provided qualifies for a reward. How is the program administered? Crime Stoppers is administered by a civilian Board of Directors who volunteers their time. The board, with input from all involved law enforcement agencies and the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Coordinator, determine the amount of the rewards and eligibility. How is the program funded? Contributions are being solicited from service organizations, social clubs, business men and women, corporations and interested citizens, as well as fund raising events. Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization under Section 501(C) (3) of the IRA Code, all contributions are tax deductible. Mail contributions to: Pa Crime Stoppers, Inc. 1800 Elmerton Avenue Harrisburg, PA 17110 All Donations are Tax Deductible – Tax ID # 22-2694833

Today at 2 pm @Kirby Park in Kingston. Please think about attending. Whether or not you believe the unsubstantiated "story" about the circumstances of Jordan's death, don't ignore the fact that there are people who, through no fault of their own, are mourning the loss of a son, a grandson, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and friend. At the very least, this family, your neighbors could really use your support. Let them know they're not alone. When this all happened 2 months ago, about half of the area immediately knew, as we all do, that this didn't have to happen and someone is lying to cover up serious abuse of power. Will you consider taking an hour or two of your day in support? #JusticeforJordan #JusticeforOsaze **If you witnessed or heard anything from the incident at #GreaterNanticokeAreaSchoolDistrict on Dec. 1st please call or text that information to the JforJ Tip Line (570) 261-9561 💚✊🙏 https://facebook.com/events/s/vigil-in-honor-of-jordan-olive/2708485372603757/?ti=as
Post this if you don't know what to say. We are having a vigil in the hopes of bringing attention to the tragic death of Jordan Oliver of Nanticoke, PA, on December the 1, 2019. The objective of bringing Jordan's story into the spotlight is the hope that someone will notice that an outside investigation is needed. Jordan was gunned down by the Pennsylvania State Police SERT team, with the help of Nanticoke Police and other area law enforcement agencies. The family, his friends, many of the people in surrounding areas, and even some far away who don't even know him have joined together in an effort to seek Justice for Jordan. Since the story broke,we have scoured the web collecting everything we can relating to the case because as early as the first report, nothing seems to make sense. This series of events took place in Luzerne county, a county with a long history of corrupt public officials. We quickly realized that this young man was set up and his reputation will forever be that of an abductor, a monster, a sick individual-- all the more reason his truth needs to be told. While no one doubts that Jordan had a troubled past and known mental health issues, the general opinion is that he had a beautiful heart and he loved her; he wouldn't have hurt her. Some of what is being said is true-- he deserved jail, and help-- but he was unarmed, no weapons were ever found on him so why the brutal use of deadly force? Since Jordan's passing, the family has been told nothing. No condolences, no explanation, no camera footage from the school, the dash of the police vehicle, no body cam footage from any of the SERT members, no incident or autopsy report, even his belongings from that night were never returned to the family. Apart from the many discrepancies and missing pieces to the story, there are details to this case that make it that much more likely that this is a cover up; collusion across multiple agencies in a state that is corrupt all the way up to the top. Not only was Jordan found to be unarmed but, despite the fact that it is being told that the SERT sharpshooters killed him, the six shots to the face and the head tell a different story-- one that appears personal and obviously not the work of a highly trained marksmen. Jordan met his on again off again girlfriend, the daughter of a Nanticoke Police officer, at the Greater Nanticoke Area High School that Sunday around 3 pm. According to a text thread between Jordan and his father, Sean, the two were talking when the "cops pulled up" and that's where the hell began. Not a word was heard until Friday, December 13th, when District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis turned over a statement to be read on the multiple news channels; this is how the family found out she was closing the book on a "justified" murder. A murder at the hands of those trained to protect and keep the public from harm. Miss Salavantis rubber stamped the report turned in by law enforcement and accepted it as truth without even looking at anything the family had. A decision made that appears to be the way things are done around Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Together, we have collected videos, news articles, screenshots and a few court documents to show that this case not only deserves but, begs an outside investigation-- really any investigation at all would be a start. Of course, nothing will bring Jordan back to his parents and family, but seeking truth and justice is enough if it saves another troubled soul and another family undue pain. Jordan no longer has a voice, will you help us speak for him? #JusticeforJordan #JusticeforOsaze
