Today at 2 pm @Kirby Park in Kingston. Please think about attending. Whether or not you believe the unsubstantiated "story" about the circumstances of Jordan's death, don't ignore the fact that there are people who, through no fault of their own, are mourning the loss of a son, a grandson, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and friend. At the very least, this family, your neighbors could really use your support. Let them know they're not alone.
When this all happened 2 months ago, about half of the area immediately knew, as we all do, that this didn't have to happen and someone is lying to cover up serious abuse of power. Will you consider taking an hour or two of your day in support?

We are having a vigil in the hopes of bringing attention to the tragic death of Jordan Oliver of Nanticoke, PA, on December the 1, 2019. The objective of bringing Jordan's story into the spotlight is the hope that someone will notice that an outside investigation is needed. Jordan was gunned down by the Pennsylvania State Police SERT team, with the help of Nanticoke Police and other area law enforcement agencies. The family, his friends, many of the people in surrounding areas, and even some far away who don't even know him have joined together in an effort to seek Justice for Jordan.
Since the story broke,we have scoured the web collecting everything we can relating to the case because as early as the first report, nothing seems to make sense. This series of events took place in Luzerne county, a county with a long history of corrupt public officials. We quickly realized that this young man was set up and his reputation will forever be that of an abductor, a monster, a sick individual-- all the more reason his truth needs to be told. While no one doubts that Jordan had a troubled past and known mental health issues, the general opinion is that he had a beautiful heart and he loved her; he wouldn't have hurt her. Some of what is being said is true-- he deserved jail, and help-- but he was unarmed, no weapons were ever found on him so why the brutal use of deadly force?
Since Jordan's passing, the family has been told nothing. No condolences, no explanation, no camera footage from the school, the dash of the police vehicle, no body cam footage from any of the SERT members, no incident or autopsy report, even his belongings from that night were never returned to the family. Apart from the many discrepancies and missing pieces to the story, there are details to this case that make it that much more likely that this is a cover up; collusion across multiple agencies in a state that is corrupt all the way up to the top. Not only was Jordan found to be unarmed but, despite the fact that it is being told that the SERT sharpshooters killed him, the six shots to the face and the head tell a different story-- one that appears personal and obviously not the work of a highly trained marksmen.
Jordan met his on again off again girlfriend, the daughter of a Nanticoke Police officer, at the Greater Nanticoke Area High School that Sunday around 3 pm. According to a text thread between Jordan and his father, Sean, the two were talking when the "cops pulled up" and that's where the hell began. Not a word was heard until Friday, December 13th, when District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis turned over a statement to be read on the multiple news channels; this is how the family found out she was closing the book on a "justified" murder. A murder at the hands of those trained to protect and keep the public from harm. Miss Salavantis rubber stamped the report turned in by law enforcement and accepted it as truth without even looking at anything the family had. A decision made that appears to be the way things are done around Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
Together, we have collected videos, news articles, screenshots and a few court documents to show that this case not only deserves but, begs an outside investigation-- really any investigation at all would be a start. Of course, nothing will bring Jordan back to his parents and family, but seeking truth and justice is enough if it saves another troubled soul and another family undue pain.
Jordan no longer has a voice, will you help us speak for him?
