Planner I Written Exam- Urgent
Help Hello everyone,
I have been invited to a written exam for a Planning Technician position. All I know about the format and the content of the exam is that it will be a multiple choice exam and the questions will be job-related.
Two questions:
Is the written exam invitation usually after some sort of screening or is it for every applicant that has applied for the job position? And,
Where exactly can I learn basic knowledge of;
(as mentioned in the job posting)
municipal planning principles
Principles, and practices of urban planning and development Planning terminology, methods, materials, practices, and techniques
Applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, ordinances, codes, rules, and regulations.
Please note, I have a BS in Architectural and Environmental Design and have gained academic experience in Urban Design through a Junior Level design studio where I've done research, site documentation and analysis to design different scenarios to engage analyzed strengths and opportunities while combating weaknesses and threats. I have minimum knowledge of urban design practices to incorporate in designing comprehensive master plans for an RFQ area such as; increasing density, diversity, and mix, pedestrians first, open space design, tackle street parking, etc. My request to gain basic knowledge in the above-mentioned question is in order to do my best and achieve a relatively high score on the exam.
Any help/comments/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
