Hypocrisy Watch

Hypocrisy Watch We've already gotten a taste of Pennsylvania state government of the special interests... by the politically powerful... for the well-connected.

And we don't like it! Governor Tom "Corporate" has been in office less than a month, and the Legislature just a few weeks longer. But that's plenty of time for bad policies that benefit powerful special interests at the expense of Pennsylvania taxpayers and ordinary working families.

Why would Gov. Corbett appoint a new Transportation Funding Commission? We can count 235,000 reasons $ $ $

Asking bailed-out Bank of America to advise the state on finance is a lot like having the Turnpike Commission give pointers on the efficient use of taxpayer resources. And Gov. Corbett’s doing both!

On tax weekend, a good reminder of who's NOT paying their fair share...

Most people are aware that 70 percent of companies in this state are not paying a dime in corporate taxes. An analysis by the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center found that 85 percent of oil and gas sector companies who filed returns in Pennsylvania owed no taxes in 2008, an even worse percentage....
