Harrisburg Police Athletic League

Harrisburg Police Athletic League An alternative crime prevention organization that uses educational, athletic, and recreational activities to bring the community, police officers, and youth together in the greater Harrisburg area.

PAL is a youth crime prevention program that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and youth. It is based on the conviction that young people - if they are reached early enough - can develop strong positive attitudes towards police officers in their journey through life toward the goal of maturity and good citizenship.

Registration for Shop with Cops is open. Please go to our website www.harrisburgpal.org and register for this event. There was also a posting on here, that you could access registration. Your child must be between the ages of 8-16 and must participate in HAPAL programming for a year to be eligible to be a part of this event next year.

Shop with Cops is an event where we register youth up for participation in our programming and sports event. We also do other events throughout the year. Shop for Cops is sponsored by Walmart. Each year we invite kids to come to Walmart for shopping with a law enforcement officer, again, compliments of Walmart on Grayson Road, Harrisburg Pennsylvania.

This event is for youth in the Dauphin County Area. Please register, slots are limited. Thanks

Dr. Charles E. Stuart

Thanks to the quick actions of Harrisburg City PD Detectives, Deputy Sheriff Tyler Bream and Deputy Alex Lherisson, an 8 month old infant and 2 year old toddler are still alive.

No way should we refer to these people as "Parents" of these kids, nor refer to them as the "Mother/Father." The DEVIL himself could not come up with words to describe the people who were responsible for the well being and care of these kids. Please see below video for the full story!

These are great stories when the "Sheepdogs" protect those who cannot protect themselves. Wishing a speedy recovery to these children as Hbg. Hospital Doctors and Nurses continue to save lives everyday.

Across much of Pennsylvania, there's potential for flooding. Never drive through flooded roadways. Swiftly flowing water can wash vehicles from a roadway, and the roadbed may not be intact under the water. #TurnAroundDontDrown

Lower Paxton Police had the privilege to meet @johnsonbrower, who is currently walking roughly 500 miles to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11/2001. His trek started in New York City, at Ground Zero and will continue to Shanksville, PA. From there he will continue the walk to Washington DC.

@johnsonbrower is the founder of @1lifegr, a non-profit organization that helps military, veterans and first responders with post-traumatic stress.

To follow Jesse’s journey for the 20th anniversary of 9/11 or to donate to the organization, visit www.life group.org.

On behalf of Lower Paxton Police, thank you for visiting us and supporting our military and first responders!
