Mrs Deeawn Neal made my entire day when she shared her family album with me which contained these photos. Her mom, Mary Lou Ford and father, Oliver Ashley (O.A.) Ford, lived at the clinic for a time while her mother worked as a nurse there. Scroll through, some are very fun! I love the few that show them dressed in Halloween costumes SMOKING IN THE HOSPITAL 🤣🤣

A little sneak peak! Someone shared a collection of 20ish photos with me today that I have always wanted to find! Never before today have I seen photos of the interior of Verser Clinic. It was so fun looking through the photos and pointing out areas in the hospital I recognized. I will post the full set tomorrow after I edit them. For now, enjoy this sneak peak!

Love this old photo! Notice the old fair poster nailed to the front of the barn, and the bead board lattice doors (I’ll drop a photo in the comments of a similar sliding door that was in Harrisburg. Must have been common to make them like that.)

Livery Stable: A place where horses are kept, boarded, rented, or cared for. Before cars, people could rent horses and carriages from a livery stable.
