Rebecca Warren for Supreme Court Justice

Rebecca Warren for Supreme Court Justice Official campaign page for Rebecca Warren for Supreme Court Justice Montour County District Attorney Rebecca Warren was born and raised in a small coal town in Northeast Pennsylvania.

She graduated from MMI College Preparatory School with several awards, and enrolled in Bloomsburg University where her father worked. Rebecca graduated with honors and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She then attended The Dickinson School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in 1991. Upon graduation, she returned to Bloomsburg where she joined a small law firm, focused on civil litigation, and practiced in 26 Counties, achieving partner designation within one (1) year. In the late 90’s, Rebecca was asked to join the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office where she authored that County’s first Child Abuse Protocol to minimize trauma to child victims. As Assistant District Attorney, Rebecca was primarily responsible for prosecuting all child abuse, sexual assault, and juvenile cases. In 2002, Rebecca launched her own law firm in Danville, Pennsylvania, which became a profitable and respected multi-county enterprise. The firm focused on civil practice which included business law, family law, estate planning and administration, real estate, and various governmental solicitor positions. After many years of success in private practice, Rebecca was approached by various individuals to consider running for District Attorney of Montour County. Having lost her father and brother in a double homicide, Rebecca felt that her calling was to provide a voice for victims and prosecute criminals. Rebecca accepted the challenge, and waged a campaign that yielded a victory of 78% of the vote, thereby becoming the first woman to serve as a District Attorney in the 26th Judicial District, which consists of Columbia and Montour Counties. Every day as District Attorney, she looks at the funeral cards on her desk and reminds herself that she is not only serving in honor of her father and brother, but for all victims. Throughout her 24 year legal career, District Attorney Warren has appeared in front of state, federal and county courts on thousands of cases. She has successfully argued in front of Commonwealth and Superior Courts and appeared in front of 26 County Courts of Common Pleas throughout the Commonwealth. Her legal experience includes both civil and criminal cases. District Attorney Warren is particularly passionate about protecting our elderly and children. She has been actively involved with prosecuting elder abuse cases with local law enforcement, the Columbia-Montour Area Agency on Aging, and Temple University Institute of Protective Services. She has testified before the PA House of Representatives Committee on Aging and Older Adult Services, and was a seminar presenter on securing restitution for elderly victims. Her office is actively resurrecting the Montour County Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team for child abuse cases, and she has served on the Montour County Child Fatality/Near Fatality Review Team. Rebecca actively contributes to many worthwhile causes and charities. She has helped raise monies for PA State Police Camp Cadet, local law enforcement scholarships, the Aphasia Center, Danville Child Development Center, the Montour Delong Fair 4-H Venue, the Grange, Maria Joseph Manor Continuing Care Community, and many others. She is a member of the PA District Attorneys Association, Commonwealth Club, American Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, National Sheriff’s Association, National Association of Drug Court Professionals, PA Sheriffs’ Association, Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Pennsylvania, Vehicular Crimes Prosecutor Network, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, and Philanthropic Educational Organization, in addition to past and present affiliations with various charities and organizations in many capacities. Rebecca resides in central Pennsylvania with her children.

"May started off with a return visit to the Lehigh Valley Tea Party for their Candidate’s Forum where I engaged in lively conversation with members. The questions asked were thoughtful, and ranged from the Constitution of Pennsylvania to faith and morality. The forum allowed me to share with members that I will help restore integrity to our highest court. Thank you Lehigh Valley Tea Party for a great night!"

The York Action group welcomed me back last month to speak and participate in a Candidate's Forum. It is always uplifting to speak to Christians who recognize the importance of supporting and electing candidates with strong Judeo-Christian values who will stand firm and not be easily influenced by special interest groups.

"I attended the recent Victims’ Rights Rally in Harrisburg, where several victims shared their stories. I had a chance to speak with some of these brave individuals, whose courage and willingness to help further the rights of all victims was inspiring. As a prosecutor assisting victims, it is these types of events that always remind me of the positive impact that we can make in the justice system."

"I had the pleasure to attend this year’s Pennsylvania Leadership Conference (PLC) in Harrisburg over the weekend. I met so many enthusiastic voters! I attended a seminar that dealt with the constitutions, organized by the Constitutional Organization of Liberty. I also met many members from the Faith & Freedom Coalition, who are diligently working to restore America's founding principles. I even had time to talk with Lois Kaneshiki, Dan Gray, Donna Ellingsen, and Jim Lucas (see photos below.) Speaking with everyone at this event has been outstanding. Thank you for caring and devoting your time to try to make our Commonwealth a better place to live." -RW
