Roanoke City Councilman Phazhon Nash delivered a MAJOR win for his community ‼️👏🏻

Thanks to his work, a new conservation-focused plan advanced that helps protect one of the last major green spaces in Northwest Roanoke while allowing thoughtful, low-impact development. 🌱

We are incredibly proud to have VAYD leaders like Councilman Nash serving their communities, fighting for the people they represent, and proving that young Democrats are already making a real difference across Virginia.

As Virginia waits for a budget, a question to leaders is: Do we continue to coddle an industry raking in billions with a tax break? Or do we ask them to pay their fair share?

The Hanover County Board of Supervisors narrowly voted to deny the massive Mountain Road Tech Park data center campus after hearing hours of testimony from developers and residents.

In case you missed it, I wrote about visiting Matewan, WV a few weeks back and the museum located there that is preserving the incredible history of the mine wars.

Information about the mine wars, and Blair Mountain specifically, was suppressed by government officials in West Virginia. I learned about this and a lot more, including their installation on Black Lung, and how it has had an unfortunate resurgence (read full article at the link in the comments)
