Majomi Bags Named after my three sons, MAtthew, JOshua, and MIchael, Majomi Bags is inspiration times three!

Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley is my studio, a cluttered jewel filled with a kaleidoscope of fabrics and notions. As long as I can remember, I have to look beyond an object and see a merging art form. For many years this was expressed through glass as I am a lampwork artist also. While I sit quietly with the humming of my machine keeping rhythm, the palette of colors and the textures of fabrics

has become an unusual but comforting medium for me. Perhaps like the flow of glass into a bead, I find the structure and design of an everyday functional object appealing. So I collect buttons and ribbons and spools of thread and use the flow of the fabric to create handbags and all sorts of needful little things.

General information

All of my handbags are uniquely one of a kind and completely handmade by me, even the buttons. Made from the highest quality designer fabrics, they are double interfaced, machine washable and the interior has a divided pocket for cell phone storage and a place for a wallet or camera. Each also has a swivel clasp sewn inside for easy car or house key storage and removal. The closure is a magnetic clasp. Thank you for your interest and for choosing handmade.
