Our counterparts over at the Mercer County Republicans Executive Committee shared this highly "informative" post recently.
We agree—this is a local issue, not a partisan one. That’s exactly why we’re listening to residents, not telling them what to think or how to vote. Our focus is simple: make sure the community has clear facts, a real voice, and a fair process before any decision is made. Harrodsburg deserves thoughtful leadership—not labels or rhetoric.
If you want to chat, we're here to listen. You deserve better.
🇺🇸 VOTE REPUBLICAN! 🇺🇸
Mercer County Republican Party: Neutral on Data Centers—Because this is completely a NONPARTISAN issue. Every Red state and town should follow.
Harrodsburg deserves clear answers—not political party theatrics.
The American Christian-Conservatives within the Republican Party of Mercer County (RPMC) have chosen not to take sides on the question of whether Big Data Centers should come to Harrodsburg. Many households are split on the subject. Therefore the RPMC as an organization staying neutral on the subject is NOT because we don’t care. But it is because this is a fundamentally nonpartisan issue—and here’s why:
1. It’s about local planning, not national ideology.
Data centers raise questions of zoning, infrastructure, traffic, utilities, noise, safety, and long-term community impact. Those are governance issues that apply to every resident—regardless of party label.
2. It impacts taxpayers and workers on both sides.
Whether the outcome is economic opportunity or community burden, the effects show up in real life: power costs, public services, property values, and local employment. Those stakes are not partisan—they’re local.
3. The arguments are policy-based, not identity-based.
People can reasonably disagree on incentives, ordinances, environmental considerations, and safeguards without turning it into a partisan loyalty test.
4. Our county is not one monolithic bloc.
RPMC is made up of local folks with different viewpoints on this issue. As an organization, we respect those differences—and we remain neutral to ensure the conversation stays rooted in facts and fairness.
In short: We can care deeply and still refuse to weaponize the issue for party advantage.
Harrodsburg is Republican—And That’s a Fact, Not a Feeling
If you want a reality check, look at the Kentucky Secretary of State election page. Mercer County/Harrodsburg is, without question, a Christian-Conservative Republican county and town. Which obviously offends the very few loud liberals.
And while that may be obvious to locals, it clearly isn’t obvious to everyone trying to claim momentum.
Meanwhile… Democrats Are Still Fighting for Air
Let’s be blunt: the Democrat Party locally has been operating more like a campaign team than a governing team—trying to revive itself instead of focusing on solutions. They are a desperate “one-issue” platform-nothing more. Ironically supported by loud folks who frankly have issues paying taxes.
And that’s exactly why the next step in their playbook was predictable: they hijacked the Data Center conversation to revive a struggling local agenda. This is the very same tactic taken from the Socialist and Marxist playbook for ages. In their desperation, they honestly believe the next election will be a “one-issue” contest. Leftists 🤡 be advised the American Christian-Conservatives of Mercer County and Harrodsburg have more depth and understanding than you specifically give them credit for. Fact is, you 🤡 do NOT represent the principles of this wonderful town and it’s God fearing people.
Imagine for a moment if one of these “one-issue” liberal left candidates won an election, within an instant Harrodsburg and Mercer County would immediately lose its influence and seniority in the Kentucky House and Senate. These poor souls would sit there at the state accomplishing absolutely nothing due to the fact that the House and Senate are primarily REPUBLICAN. Furthermore, Harrodsburg and Mercer county would only benefit from the hopeful good graces of majority rule of House and Senate officials from other counties and towns. It’s not rocket science folks. These leftist thinking liberals would only serve to stop the momentum that all of the officials and the citizens of Mercer County and Harrodsburg, Kentucky has worked so hard to accomplish. We ask for the citizens to critically think. Always vote Christian-Conservative Republican, ESPECIALLY in a REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED state. If our State Legislators can flex enough to render the liberal Governor and his administration completely useless, what do you think they will do with a couple of liberals from Harrodsburg that do not have anything in common with the citizens they are desperately trying to represent? The only influence they have now is within their circus 🤡 campaigns in hijacking and politicizing critical issues, If elected they will only support liberal leftist ideology and without question be reduced to zero influence at the state, COMPLETELY UNABLE TO REPRESENT THE WILL OF THE CITIZENS OF HARRODSBURG AND MERCER COUNTY KENTUCKY.
As they have shown repeatedly on their own social media-which they erased before filing to run, these liberal candidates are laser focused in hurting our duly-elected President of the United States, mocking God, pushing abortion, gay marriages, boys in girl sports, confusing our student populations in believing multiple sexes exist, grooming our children with vulgarity, defunding law enforcement, and of course allowing porous borders in order to fill our communities with people that choose to ignore our laws and criminals in order to create chaos…again. PLEASE ALWAYS VOTE CHRISTIAN-CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN! As one of our fine and very wise Christian-Conservative County Magistrates stated recently, “Pray about it daily, and allow God to provide the answers.”
