Someone recently asked me what it means to me to be a constable, and it’s a question I’ve thought about carefully.
To me, being a constable is a calling to serve others with integrity, humility, and purpose. My faith teaches me the importance of doing what is right, treating people fairly, and showing compassion in every situation. As the Bible reminds us, “The integrity of the upright shall guide them” (Proverbs 11:3, KJV), and that principle matters greatly in a role built on trust.
Being a constable means being present in the community, approachable, and willing to listen. It means showing up consistently, not for recognition, but because people deserve someone they can rely on. It’s about protecting the rights of others, helping where help is needed, and leading with a steady and respectful hand.
This role also requires accountability and faithfulness in both actions and decisions. I believe a constable should be someone who serves with honesty, patience, and a genuine concern for the people they represent.
At the end of the day, being a constable means serving God by serving others—loving my community, standing firm in my values, and striving every day to be a good steward of the responsibility entrusted to me.
The love, respect and appreciation I have for my little community means the world to me. It raised me, and treated me with fairness. I hope to be able to return this, 10 fold.
Thank you for your faith, and support.
