Well, now I get to criticize Harford County. The county is helping "small business" with a $7,500 grant. Very nice except you have to have two employees who are not owners to be eligible. Can we find another way to shaft the smallest of businesses??? We are a TWO person business, and are both owners of our company. We are a small business in the very definition of the term. Our company is a 1099 contract type business. Not only did we have to go through the unemployment filing BS, we have been out of work since March 12th, with no real signs of going back until our clients can operate without restrictions. We do work out of our home, so we did not qualify for the PPP loan program, and did not think we should. Being commercial photographers, we are not a work at home business!! Our bills have not stopped, and I'm sure our beloved county will want its property tax in July! I want to thank the thoughtless designers of this grant for sticking it to the smallest of businesses again. At least I thought Harford County was on our side...no more!!
