WE Fest is rocking tonight!

Thousands of country music fans, great music, and a whole lot of fun in Detroit Lakes, but an event this big doesn’t happen without the people working behind the scenes.

I got to spend some time with the Becker County Sheriff’s Department at their command center. These guys are the real deal. Multiple agencies working together to keep people safe and keep the event running.

They’ve got our backs and this crew knows I’ve got theirs.

Thank you to every officer, deputy, first responder, and agency putting in the work!

They stand for lower taxes, stronger support for small businesses and agriculture, safer communities, government accountability, and common-sense leadership that puts our region first.

12:30 AM and I’m researching Minnesota Senate history…

For all my history buffs, here’s a little SD4 history you may not know. SHARE if you love random history facts.

The communities that make up today’s Senate District 4, including Moorhead, Hawley, and Detroit Lakes, haven’t had a Republican state senator representing them in roughly 70 years.

The last Republican to serve this area was Conrad Selvig in the 1950s. (Picture included)

Think about that timeline, the Moorhead Dairy Queen had just opened, generations have come and gone, businesses have been built, and our communities have grown.

89 days left.

Will 2026 be the year we write a new chapter in SD4 history?

The voters will decide.

Six Night to Unite stops. One great reminder.

Hawley. Glyndon. Dilworth. Three neighborhoods in Moorhead.

Minnesota is strongest when neighbors know neighbors. Kids playing outside, families gathering, first responders, law enforcement, all connecting with the community, it doesn't get much better than that.

Proud to earn the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)!

I'm passionate about small business because I've lived it and love it. Building a business, creating jobs, and keeping the doors open isn’t easy, but it’s worth it.

These events are about so much more than livestock. They’re about supporting our youth, recognizing their hard work, and investing in the next generation of farmers, leaders, and community members.

The dedication, responsibility, and pride these kids show is inspiring. Proud to stand alongside the families, volunteers, and buyers who make these programs so special.

Minnesota Senate District 4 is expected to be one of the most contested legislative races in the state. By Election Day, millions of dollars could be spent trying to influence this race as political parties, PACs, and outside groups from both the left and the right pour money into our district.

Think about that for a minute.

Imagine if even a small fraction of those resources found their way into local food banks, youth programs, veterans organizations, volunteer fire departments, first responders, community infrastructure, parks, libraries, senior services, and the nonprofits serving families every single day.

I'm not running for fame. I'm not running for power. I'm running because I care about my neighbors and believe our communities deserve someone who will represent them.

When this campaign is over, the signs will come down. The TV ads will stop. The mailers will end. But our neighbors will still be here, and I will be standing right next to them.

That's who I'm running for.
