Have some time tonight to log into Zoom and support a good cause? The Hayward City Council Meeting tonight (Tues. Feb. 23) at 7 PM will help decide the timeline of ground breaking for the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Shelter for unaccompanied immigrant youth and unhoused youth aging out of foster care. We need a resource like this!

Despite statewide protections that prevent tenants from eviction for nonpayment of rent if they claim a financial hardship, evictions are still happening, including in the city of Richmond.

"I want to serve on the Housing Stability Fund Oversight Board to help my city create more affordable housing as soon as possible through a racial and economic equity lens because everyone should have the right to live in security, peace and dignity."

Immigrants who are not U.S. citizens can now apply to serve on public oversight bodies that advise San Francisco City Hall on a wide array of issues. It is due to the passage in November of Proposition C, the Aspiring Citizens' Charter Amendment.
