I had fun making my Tetris Tumble pattern in the Tropical Splash fabric from ! My husband tried to help me get a good outdoor pic, but it was so windy! 😂 I love the tropical drinks, flamingoes, and plants in this fabric. They’re so cute!

My first project for the Benartex Sewcial Stars is up!

I used the Ciao Bella line from to make these super cute placemats using my Lunch Date placemat pattern. I had a fat quarter pack, and it was enough to make 4 coordinating placemats, including the backs. I used some fabric from Benartex’s Wave Texture line for the bindings. The weather here in Wisconsin has been great lately, with spring just around the corner. I can’t wait to use these on my patio table on the porch soon!

I'm making another version of one of my patterns. I was in a groove yesterday and got a lot accomplished. Today when I went to iron all my blocks, I realized that I sewed all my blocks the same. Half of them were supposed to be mirrored. Sigh. I wrote the pattern and know it like the back of my hand, so I don't actually need to read it and follow the instructions when I'm making the quilt, right? So now I have 30 blocks to rip up and resew today.
