📚 Hidden Treasure of the Genealogy Collection 📚

One of the hidden gems in the library's Genealogy Collection is 'A Gentleman of the Old Natchez Region: Benjamin L. C. Wailes' by Charles S. Sydnor.

A noted scientist, educator, and historian, Wailes had strong ties to Jefferson College in Washington, Mississippi, and helped found the Mississippi Historical Society. His efforts to preserve Mississippi's early records and history continue to benefit historians and genealogists today.

This fascinating book is available for research and reading in the library. While it cannot be checked out, visitors are welcome to stop by and explore this treasure from the collection.
