These happy pups are headed to the Heath Paw Grounds to play! Early mornings and evenings are great times to let your fur baby check out the new dog recreation area at 305 Laurence, made available to the public by the Heath Economic Development/Municipal Benefits Corporation and a citizen donor. While there, be sure to check out the trail leading from the property, past the pond and back to the nature trails along Chris Cuny Parkway. See the map in the comments!

PATH is on a roll with generous support from residents and local businesses, including the companies who sponsored an outfield fence for the renovated baseball field at Towne Center Park. Now young players can look forward to that "over the fence, out of the park" home run experience! ..

UPDATE - AUGUST 28: The contractor plans to complete the temporary roadway for Phase 2 tonight, August 28, with the planned traffic switch scheduled for tomorrow morning, August 29. The traffic switch was originally scheduled for August 24 and was subsequently moved to August 28. Unavoidable delays were encountered caused by utility and irrigation line conflicts under the temporary road and ground water seepage. The roadway project remains on schedule for completion within the current contract period, which ends in December 2026.

Hubbard Drive Project Reminder | Traffic Switch is Planned for 7 a.m. Tomorrow..
A traffic switch is planned for 7 a.m. tomorrow. The existing one-way detour near Rush Creek Dr. will shift further east, and Hubbard Dr. will operate one-way westbound to Crisp Road. Once completed, the new temporary road will carry westbound traffic through the construction zone as crews begin demolition and roadway improvements along the existing Hubbard Dr. alignment. Thank you for your patience as the project moves into the next phase. See the updated detour map: https://www.heathtx.com/hubbard-drive-project-update-additional-phases/

Traffic Control Plan Phase 2A
The City of Heath will be implementing the next stage of the Hubbard Drive Phase 2A TCP.

As construction progresses, the existing one‑way detour currently ending near Rush Creek Drive will be shifted further up (East). Once the change is in place, Hubbard Drive will operate as one‑way westbound only up to Crisp Road.

This phase also includes the activation/switch to the new temporary roadway, which will carry westbound traffic through the construction zone while crews begin demolition and roadway improvements within the existing Hubbard Drive alignment.

We will be implementing this shift at 7:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2026.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we move into this next phase of improvements. This temporary configuration is necessary to maintain access while crews work safely and efficiently.

The Rush Creek Yacht Club Youth Sailing Program is an amazing opportunity available to your kids, right here in Heath! Register for the fall session today!

What if your child’s fall activity built confidence, independence, teamwork and real-world skills—all while spending time on the water?

⛵ Fall Sailing is here at Rush Creek Yacht Club!

RCYC’s Youth Sailing Program gives kids the opportunity to do something different this fall. They’ll learn to read the wind, rig and sail a boat, make decisions on the water, work as a team and gain the confidence that comes from learning to handle a sailboat themselves.

Two ways to get on the water this fall:

📚 Homeschool Learn to Sail | Ages 7–13
Weekday sessions combine sailing, water safety, teamwork, problem solving—and even a little physics in motion.

⛵ Beginner Sailing | Ages 7–17
Perfect for new sailors. Kids learn the fundamentals in Optimist Dinghies or Club 420s, with Saturday and Tuesday/Saturday options available.

No sailing experience? That’s exactly what these programs are for.

There is something special about watching a young sailor leave the dock unsure of themselves and come back knowing they sailed the boat.

🍂 Give them an adventure this fall.

Fall sessions begin in September. Space is limited.
