Phillips County was present today to celebrate Brickey's Class 2026-EA graduation. Our Deputy Warden, Emsweller, served as the guest speaker and shared inspiring words "Fired Up, Ready to go!" We were grateful for the opportunity to take a picture with the Department of Corrections Secretary, Lindsey Wallace, cherishing this special moment. Congratulations to all! 🎓

INCLEMENT WEATHER ALERT:
Alert sent 01/25/2026: Due to the ongoing winter storm and its effect on road conditions, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has closed state office buildings except critical operations Monday, January 26th, 2026.
State employees who can telework should do so, and agencies may implement liberal leave policies for their employees who cannot telework.
Critical Need Employees (uniformed security and other personnel identified as being essential for unit operations) are required to report as normal. Non-security essential personnel need to contact their Warden/Supervisor for instruction.
If a non-critical need employee is unable to work remotely, you may submit inclement weather leave in EASE.

Business Manager, Mrs. Danielle Davis, received assistance from Arkansas Association of Correctional Employees Trust (AACET). Mrs. Davis's family suffered a life changing tragedy a few weeks ago. Thank you AACET for stepping in to help her and her family during this difficult time.

Captain Cothren, a native of Marvell, Arkansas, along with Cpl Moore visited the Marvell-Elaine School District today. They were welcomed by Mrs. Jackie Cox and her 4th grade Library class. The children were able to engage in book reading and conversations regarding corrections and public safety. Some also expressed an interest in working for the Department of Corrections. We enjoyed giving back to our future Corrections Officers, Police Officers, Doctors, Lawyers, and etc. Thank you again Marvell-Elaine School District!

We would like to say thank you to everyone that got a chance to attend our first Trunk or Treat. We got a chance to see soo many awesome costumes and smiling faces.. even our very own Captain Taylor Cothren. 😂
