This morning, we had the privilege of being surrounded by so many incredible women who are shaping the future of Henderson County and working together to make our community an even better place to live, work, and thrive. 💜

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Women United Leadership Breakfast and helped make the morning so meaningful.

A very special thank you to our featured speaker, Dr. Jan King, for sharing her wisdom, experience, and inspiring words with us. We are so grateful for the leadership she brings to our community and for the time she spent encouraging and empowering the women in the room.

There is something powerful about bringing women together to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the impact we can make when we lead together.

We left this morning feeling inspired and incredibly grateful to be part of this community. 💜

🎉 WE DID IT! 🎉

We set out to raise $12,000 for Girls EMpowered during our July is for GEM campaign and thanks to our incredible community, we exceeded our goal!

A grand total of $12,522 was raised 💎

A huge THANK YOU to Stuller Power Solutions, whose generous $6,000 matching sponsorship gave our community an extra incentive to show up for GEM. Your partnership helped turn the generosity of our donors into an even greater investment.

Together, we're helping more girls across Henderson County discover their strengths, build resilience, develop leadership skills, and grow in confidence. 💗

Today we welcome our 16th Rising Leaders Cohort!

Meeting once a month now through March, these dynamic locals will study all facets of nonprofit board service as they actively prepare to serve our nonprofit community.

At this month’s Family Night, the residents and staff of Brookdale Hendersonville East made an extremely generous donation to United Way Henderson County’s signature program, Girls EMPowered, and the schools that the program serves!

Over 100 notebooks were collected and enough glue sticks, crayons, pencils and other school supplies to fill dozens of back packs! ✏️📚🖍️

Side Note: Dr. Jan King joined us in receiving these supplies! Not only is Dr. King a Women United Member, she’s one of the original funders of the GEM program AND our keynote speaker at this year’s WU Leadership Breakfast.
