🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

We have received reports of scammers calling citizens and pretending to be a deputy or law enforcement officer. These callers may claim that you have a warrant, missed jury duty, or owe money, and they may pressure you to pay immediately to avoid arrest.

Please know: law enforcement will NEVER call and demand payment over the phone, and we will NEVER ask you to pay fines or warrants using gift cards, cryptocurrency, payment apps, or wire transfers.

If you receive a suspicious call:
✅ Do not give out personal or financial information
✅ Do not send money
✅ Hang up immediately
✅ Call the Sheriff’s Office directly using our official phone number to verify any claim

Scammers often use fear and urgency to pressure victims. Please talk with your family, friends, and elderly neighbors so they are aware.

Stay alert and help us spread the word.
