The Directorate of Gender Affairs was today the recipient of 2 hampers filled with essentials, thanks to ACB Caribbean.

The hampers will be distributed to 2 individuals or families in need.

Marita Laurent, Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications at the bank says that the donation forms part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank's celebration of Financial Information month.

Laurent expressed her organization's pleasure in donating the items to the Directorate of Gender Affairs, Antigua Barbuda given the work they have been doing to assist persons in society.

In accepting the donations, Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment, Senator Samantha N. Marshall praised the banks efforts in working along with the Government in its fight to alleviate poverty in the twin island state.

Also in attendance were Ms. Sarah Stuart, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Wellness,Social Transformation and the Environment, Mrs. Lotty Thompson, Acting Principal Assistant in the Ministry, and Mrs Efiah Charlemange-Norbert, Senior Manager of Retail Banking.
