We recently finished the Fishers of Men training course in Benton, KY as well as online in the Philippines. These classes combined reported on 192 Bible studies with 58 different souls! Between the two classes, we had only 23 students, but they did well in putting the FOM principles into action! In just a couple of weeks, my son and I plan to travel to the Philippines. We plan to do several different types of work, but part of our trip will be to visit the island of Bohol and recognize the FOM students with a graduation.

We are currently finishing up an online class in Kenya as well. We plan to visit them in July, as well as visit and encourage congregations who have hosted the FOM training course in Swahili. We have a team of Kenyan FOM teachers working with brethren there.

We also have other foreign FOM instructors conducting the training course in their native language. Unfortunately, I cannot give detail about them because of where they are located.

The FOM training course was recently concluded in New Orleans, LA; Baltimore, MD; as well as two classes in Kenya (I taught one online and our Swahili FOM team taught a class in person). These classes combined reported well over 1000 Bible studies with hundreds of souls, and during the class five souls obeyed the Gospel, with many more just reaching the “decision point” when the class concluded. We are thankful for the work these brethren put in and the opportunities we have to serve the Lord in these ways.

Late Post!
From March to June, I taught the Fishers of Men training course (online) in Kenya, and also had a couple of students from neighboring countries.
These students did a tremendous job of putting the FOM principles into practice. During the course, these students reported 691 Bible studies with 214 different souls, and also reported 17 baptisms! Again, that is only what happened during the course!
There were 27 students who completed the requirements to receive a Fishers of Men certificate. Although I as not able to be there, they were able to have graduation in person in the month of July.

In May my son, Titus, my nephew, Kaiden, and I took a journey for the Lord to the Philippines. On this journey, we did several different types of work. We conducted two VBS’s, one in Umingan, and one in Lupao. It is vitally important to train & prepare the next generation of God’s people!
We also held an area wide lectureship/fellowship. The attendance for this was great! About 100 people were expected, but the total was 189! There was a little anxiety about having enough food, but we bought some extra and managed just fine. Titus and Kaiden spoke to the teen class during the morning sessions and it seemed to go very well.
We also held several night meetings and conducting a number of personal Bible studies. It was great to see both Titus (age 15) and Kaiden (age 18) taking part and leading in the Lord’s work in these ways.

In the month of April, we concluded the 12-week FOM training course in two locations: Bedford, IN and Columbus, GA. These were two small classes with about 20 students combined; there were also a few students who joined the Columbus class online.
FOM is an intensive 12-week training course in personal evangelism. In class we study a host of Bible topics in addition to studying and practicing methods to be more effective in approaching people, setting up definite appointments for Bible studies, and of course, conducting those studies.
After some practice, the assignment is given to setup and conduct Bible studies, and we have report sessions during class.
These two small classes combined reported on 177 Bible studies with 55 different souls. In addition, they also had two baptisms during the class! To God be the glory!
The work continues! The numbers above are just what happened during the class. I got a message just yesterday about another baptism from these classes!

Ron Maynard, one of our former full-time instructors, went to his reward on Sunday, April 14. Ron trained soul winners through FOM for 20 years, before his declining health forced him to step away from the work in 2017. We are so thankful for him and his beloved wife, Louise, for their labor in the kingdom. Many souls will be in heaven because of their faithful and tireless work for the Lord! Please pray for Louise and their family.
