Nothing brightens a school day quite like wagging tails and happy paws 🐾💛

During Wellness Week at Rachel Carson Middle School, we were lucky to welcome some very special visitors—therapy dogs! From calming cuddles to big smiles, these furry friends helped our students relax, recharge, and feel supported.

Thank you to the amazing handlers and therapy dogs who shared their time (and lots of love) with us.

🎉 Big congratulations to our RCMS Science Olympiad teams! 🎉

Our students earned an impressive 3rd place finish at the UMW Regional Competition on Saturday, February 28, 2026! 🏅

This year, the RCMS program brought together 45 dedicated students across three teams, all demonstrating incredible teamwork, curiosity, and scientific skill.

A huge thank you to our coaches for their leadership and commitment!

We are so proud of our students and the entire RCMS community for this outstanding achievement!
